Games Like Asteroids (itch) (Fireaid)

Asteroids Fireaid is a really cool throwback to classic arcade shooters. You control a spaceship navigating a dense asteroid field dodging rocks and blasting enemy ships. It’s simple to pick up but surprisingly engaging. The art style is retro pixelated which adds to the nostalgic feel. You’ll spend your time maneuvering through space collecting powerups to upgrade your weapons and shields. The game has a certain charm to it even with its intentionally rough edges. It's not about complex storylines or deep mechanics it’s about pure arcade action and the satisfaction of surviving wave after wave of threats. If you enjoy old school space shooters and don't mind a few quirks this one is definitely worth checking out. It's a fun little experience that captures the essence of classic gaming.
