Armageddon from 1995 is a truly unique experience. It's a simulation game where you take on the role of a commander tasked with launching a nuclear strike against an alien hive. The gameplay revolves around strategically positioning your missiles and observing the devastating results. It's less about traditional gameplay mechanics and more about witnessing the sheer scale of destruction. The game has a very distinct visual style for its time using pre rendered graphics to depict the explosions and the alien world. While simple in its core concept, it's incredibly captivating to watch the chain reaction unfold. It’s a game that provides a visceral sense of power and consequence, even if the narrative is minimal. If you appreciate games that prioritize spectacle and a unique feeling of control over complex systems, Armageddon offers a memorable, if somewhat dated, experience.
