Games Like Archipelago: A 7DRL

Archipelago A 7DRL is a wonderfully charming retro action adventure game that feels like a love letter to classic 8 bit adventures. You find yourself shipwrecked on a series of procedurally generated islands each one offering unique challenges and secrets. The gameplay loop is incredibly addictive. You explore these islands battling quirky creatures collecting resources and upgrading your abilities. It’s a roguelite so death is part of the experience but each run feels fresh thanks to the random island layouts and enemy encounters. The game’s visual style is pure nostalgia embracing the limitations of the PICO-8 platform which adds to its unique appeal. It’s a game that respects the past while offering a genuinely engaging and replayable experience perfect for those who enjoy a good challenge and a healthy dose of retro fun.
