Games Like Ansoku

Ansoku is a really unique game that puts you in the shoes of a Japanese bureaucrat during the Showa period. You're not a warrior or a detective but someone navigating the complexities of society through choices. The gameplay is top-down and focuses on making decisions that have real consequences, shaping the lives of people around you. It's a surprisingly relaxing experience despite the historical setting. You'll be dealing with various situations, trying to maintain harmony and sometimes making tough calls with no easy answers. The atmospheric presentation and the focus on narrative really make it stand out. It's a game that encourages you to think about the ripple effect of your actions and appreciate the quiet moments of everyday life. If you enjoy games where your decisions matter and a contemplative pace is preferred over fast action, Ansoku is definitely worth checking out.
