Games Like AlterEd (itch)

AlterEd is a really interesting 2D shooter that throws some unique twists at you. It's not your typical run and gun game. Instead of just blasting enemies, you're constantly altering the game world itself. You can change the level geometry, the enemy types, and even the rules of engagement on the fly. This creates a very dynamic and unpredictable experience where every playthrough feels different. It’s got a cool experimental feel to it and a strong focus on achieving high scores which keeps you coming back to refine your strategies. The game isn't about a deep story but about the pure joy of manipulation and the satisfying feeling of mastering its systems. It’s a game that rewards creativity and quick thinking, and it's surprisingly engaging despite its minimalist presentation. If you enjoy games that challenge you to think outside the box and aren't afraid of a bit of chaos, AlterEd is definitely worth checking out.
