Games Like Afterland (itch)

Afterland is a really clever puzzle game that feels like a blend of Sokoban and something a little more mysterious. You control a character navigating a series of interconnected rooms pushing boxes around to clear paths. It’s deceptively simple at first but quickly ramps up in complexity with new mechanics and spatial challenges. The game has a very distinct visual style a bit retro but with a modern touch and it creates a calming atmosphere even when things get tricky. It’s the kind of game you can pick up for a few minutes or get completely absorbed in trying to solve a particularly difficult level. The focus is purely on the puzzle solving itself there’s no combat or story heavy elements just pure spatial reasoning which I personally find incredibly satisfying. If you enjoy games that make you think and appreciate a clean design Afterland is definitely worth checking out.
