Games Like Adpocalypse

Adpocalypse is a really interesting shooter that emerged from a YouTube game jam in 2017. It's a unique experience because the core gameplay revolves around the chaotic world of online video content. You're essentially battling against the forces that threaten the stability of YouTube and the livelihoods of content creators. The game cleverly uses the tropes and frustrations of the internet landscape like ads and subscription numbers as actual mechanics. You'll find yourself engaging in fast paced combat that feels both frantic and surprisingly strategic. It's not a deep story driven game but it's packed with personality and a sharp sense of humor about the modern digital age. If you appreciate games that aren't afraid to be weird and offer a fresh take on the shooter genre then Adpocalypse is definitely worth checking out. It's a short but memorable blast.
