Games Like Acidium

Acidium is a really unique adventure game that feels like a blend of a classic text adventure and a creepy visual novel. You explore a strange world filled with unsettling mysteries and a palpable sense of dread. The game is presented in a simple 2D style but it’s the atmosphere and the narrative that really grab you. You're uncovering secrets and making choices that shape the story, and there's even a romantic element woven in. It's got a roguelike twist meaning things can change and you'll need to adapt as you go. It’s built using the LÖVE framework, which gives it a charming retro feel, and it originated from Ludum Dare 49, so you know it's packed with creative ideas. If you enjoy games that prioritize story and atmosphere over intense action, and you appreciate a bit of unsettling intrigue, Acidium is definitely worth checking out.
