Games Like A Guillotine

A Guillotine is a truly unique and unsettling experience. It's a short but memorable game created for Ludum Dare 35 where you take on the role of a person facing a series of bizarre and often darkly humorous trials. The gameplay revolves around making difficult choices that determine your fate, all while being relentlessly pursued by, you guessed it, a guillotine. It’s not about fast reflexes or complex strategies; it’s about the psychological impact of constant threat and the strange narratives that unfold. The game cleverly blends elements of visual novel and interactive fiction with a constant sense of impending doom. It's a game that sticks with you long after you finish playing, prompting reflection on life, death, and the absurd. If you enjoy games that are more about atmosphere and narrative than traditional gameplay, and don't mind a healthy dose of morbid humor, A Guillotine is definitely worth checking out.
