Games Like 2020: o rolê

2020: o rolê is a short but unforgettable pixel art adventure that drops you into a surreal version of São Paulo during the early days of the pandemic. You play as a regular person just trying to go out and hang out but the city feels off with empty streets and strange vibes everywhere. As you walk around exploring familiar neighborhoods and iconic landmarks the game slowly reveals a bizarre and darkly humorous story that mixes real world pandemic feelings with wild twists including a certain football legend making a very unexpected appearance. It’s less about challenging gameplay and more about soaking in the mood the loneliness the absurdity and the quiet dread of that time. The pixel visuals are simple but full of character and the whole experience plays like a fever dream that somehow captures exactly what 2020 felt like emotionally. It won’t take long to finish but it definitely leaves a mark.
