2 By 2 is a clever little action game that flips the script on how you think about space and movement. You control two characters at once but they move in mirrored directions which means every decision has to be precise. The whole game plays out on a grid where timing and positioning are everything. It starts off simple with basic puzzles but quickly ramps up into some really satisfying brain teasers. What makes it special is how it turns symmetry into a core mechanic not just a gimmick. You always feel like you're one step ahead until the game throws a new twist at you and suddenly you're rethinking everything. It's the kind of game that makes you stop and plan your moves like a chess player but with the urgency of an action title. Since it came out of the Global Game Jam in 2020 you can tell it's built around one strong idea executed really well. The visuals are clean and minimal so you never get distracted from the puzzle at hand.
