Games Like 1D Sidescroller

1D Sidescroller is a clever little puzzle-platformer that flips the script on what you expect from the genre by compressing the entire gameplay into a single line. You move your character left and right along that one line, jumping between different height levels represented as points on the axis. It sounds crazy at first but it clicks fast once you start playing. The game uses perspective and layering in smart ways so you are constantly rethinking how platforms connect. Each level feels like a brain teaser wrapped in minimalist charm. It is short and sweet with just enough challenge to keep you engaged without frustration. The whole thing runs in your browser and was made for a game jam so it is scrappy and inventive. If you love games that make you think differently about space and movement you will get a kick out of this one. It is a neat example of how constraints can spark creativity.
